


In 2010, TCU competed at the Fort Worth Stock Show, marking the first time any equestrian event had ever been held at the Stock Show.

Community Service
- Autism Parade
Members of the TCU Equestrian team participated in the 20th Annual Roundup for Autism Parade. The parade was held in the Fort Worth Stockyards. The parade was sponsored by the Houston Lone Star Pony Express which helps raise money for the Roundup for Autism. - The Roundup is one of Texas’ largest fundraisers for autism. Spanning the Metroplex as a three-day event the Roundup starts with the parade in the Historical Stockyards, with a celebrity rodeo and “Spirit of the West” Ball to follow.
- Volunteer at the All-Star Equitherapy Foundation
The foundation provides therapeutic horseback riding to physically, mentally and emotionally challenged riders of all ages. Services at the All-Star riding center are made through the support of community volunteers.
Team Success
- In 2008, the program was honored by the Fort Worth City Council as well as the Texas House of Representatives
- Current assistant coach Kindel Huffman was named the Bob Lilly TCU Athlete of the Year by the Greater Fort Worth Fellowship of Christian Athletes. The award is for those student-athletes who exhibit outstanding character on and off the field. Such criteria include: personal integrity, character on and off the playing field, academic achievements and community service.
Fort Worth Stock Show Dual
- TCU won the first ever meeting between TCU and Texas A&M at the Fort Worth Stock Show, 5-3, in 2010. The dual between the two Texas schools consisted of only five western riders from each team
