Kindel Huffman
Assistant Coach
- Kindel Huffman begins her second season as an assistant coach with the TCU women’s equestrian program.
- In her first season, Huffman guided the Hunt Seat team to its second-ever appearance at the 2010 Varsity Equestrian National Championships. That season, the Frogs’ Hunt Seat team made program history by claiming a 5-3 victory over No. 5 Baylor on the opening day of action, which marked TCU’s victory on the English side at nationals.
- The Frogs’ Hunt Seat team – which ranked 12th in the nation heading into nationals – defeated 8th-ranked Fresno State by a 6-2 decision in the second round of action. The Frogs went on to place sixth-place at the 2010 Varsity Equestrian National Championships, which was TCU’s highest-ever finish.
- Huffman was a standout rider for the Frogs where she helped the TCU Western Team to the 2008 Varsity Equestrian Western National Championships. That season, Huffman posted a perfect 11-0 record in Horsemanship.
Gary Reynolds
Head Coach
- Gary Reynolds begins his fifth season as head coach of the TCU women’s equestrian program.
- Reynolds guided the Frogs to the 2008 Varsity Equestrian Western National Championships. That season, the Frgs became the first tem in Varsity Equestrian hstory to earn a title in just its second year in Varsity Equestrian’s 12-year history.
- During the 2008 season, Reynolds guided the Western Squad to a 15-0 record while defeating Georgia for the Western National Championship. In addition, the Hunt Seat Team also made their first-ever appearance at the National Championships.
- Reynolds led the Frogs to a national rank throughout the 2010 where TCU peaked at seventh in the country.
- During the 2010 season, the Frogs finished fourth overall in the final standings at the 2010 Varsity Equestran National Championships, which was the highest overall finish for the Frogs in program history. Tha season, the Western Division finished fifth overall while the Hunt Seat finished sixth overall, which was TCU’s highest-finish on the English side.
- The TCU head coach guided the Frogs to runner-up accolades in the Western Division at the 2009 Varseity Equestria National Championships.
- In his first season as head coach, Reynolds led the Frogs to their Varsity Equestrian National Championship bid in the Western Division. The Frogs became the first squad to reach the post-season in just its first season as a varsity sport.
- Under Reynolds’ direction, Carrie von Uhlit was the 2009 Varsity Equestrian Reining National Champion where she was the top-ranked rider in the country during her senior campaign.
- A two-time national qualifier, Courtney Chown garnered runner-up accolades in Horsemanship at the 2009 Varsity Equestrian National Championships.
