    2006 Track and Field News Top Relay Team In The Country
  • After claiming a silver medal in the 100 meters, now sophomore Charles Silmon helped the United States capture gold medal accolades this past summer at the 13th running of the IAAF World Junior Championships in Canada. Silmon, who clocked the fastest 200-meter junior time in the world last season and just missed a gold medal in the men’s 100 meters, crossed the finish line with a personal-best time of 10.23 seconds, became only the third TCU student-athlete under head coach Darryl Anderson to medal at the IAAF World Junior Championships.
