The Frogs captured their first and only Western Athletic Conference in 1998.

History

  • The Frogs captured the 1983 NCAA National Championship, which was the first national title for a TCU athletic program since football was No. 1 at the conclusion of the 1938 season.
  • TCU has produced six LPGA Tour members, seven All-Americans, 22 All-American Scholars and 45 All-Conference selections in its storied history.
  • The Frogs have had seven All-American in their history – all coming under Ravaioli-Larkin – including four-time All-American award winner Angela Stanford.
  • Stanford surpassed the $1-million mark in season earnings for the first time in 2009 and has captured four LPGA titles during her career.
  • Stanford captured a school record nine tournaments during her career and was selected as the Western Athletic Conference Golfer of the Year in 1999. Stanford became the third women’s golfer to be inducted into the TCU Lettermen’s Association Hall of Fame when she was honored in the Fall 2010.
  • The Frogs have had six LPGA Tour members in Marci Bozarth, Kris Tschetter, Ellie Gibson, Stanford, Brooke Tull and D’Rae Ward.
  • Former TCU standouts Bozarth and Tschetter were the first two Horned Frogs female student-athletes to be inducted into the TCU Lettermen’s Association Hall of Fame.
  • TCU’s last two conference championships (2002 Conference USA, 2007 Mountain West Conference) have seen the Frogs rally from six-stroke deficits entering the final round.
  • TCU has won three championships in three different conferences over the last 12 seasons in the Western Athletic Conference (1998), Conference USA (2002) and Mountain West Conference (2007).
  • The TCU women’s golf program has made 15 consecutive NCAA post-season appearances, which is the second-longest streak of any Frog athletics program.
